How Did We Get Here?

It’s been a doozy of a Spring, right?

If you knew me pre-COVID-19 stay-at-home orders, you me as a marketing director for a local small business. A week later, I was furloughed. A month later, I was “permanently eliminated”. And today, I’m putting together what my future looks like.

Was this my plan for taking the next step in my career? No. Did I see my end at my last employer ending the way it did? Definitely not. Am I happy about it all now? If you’ve watched Sex and the City, you know Mr. Big’s infamous one-liner fits in as an answer here.

Freelancing isn’t necessarily new to me. From coordinating influencer events to editing documents, from managing social media accounts to writing blog posts - it’s all work I’ve done in the past. So why not go for doing it on my own, and in conjunction with some really fantastic partners? I look forward to introducing you to them soon as I’ve already had the wonderful opportunity to work with some amazing people at some incredible companies.
